To activate Pandora on your Xbox One, launch the Pandora application and choose whether you'd like to activate on your Xbox or from a mobile device.

To activate your account directly from your Xbox One:

  1. Choose either I have a Pandora Account or I am new to Pandora.
  2. Follow the prompts to activate your account.

To activate your account from a mobile device:

  1. Open the Pandora app on a mobile device and go to Settings.
  2. Select Device Activation and enter the code.
  3. An activation page will appear with a code - leave this code up on the device screen as you continue.
  4. Finally, select Continue on your Xbox One.

Navigating Pandora on Xbox One

When you launch Pandora on the Xbox One, you may be taken to the Now Playing page automatically. From here you can use the pause, play, skip and replay icons to move through your currently playing music.

To switch to something different, you can access your collection under My Stations (orMy Music for Premium subscribers).

If you'd like to add a track to your collection (Premium only) or create a station based on it, use the left thumbstick to navigate to the '+' icon, and press A to select it.

Search on Xbox One

You can search Pandora's catalog from the search menu in the top navigation bar.

With search, you can look for artists, songs, albums, stations, or even playlists you've created (if you're a Pandora Premium subscriber).

Sort station on Xbox One

By default your stations will be sorted by those most recently played.

If you'd prefer that your collection be sorted alphabetically, you can change this preference by opening Pandora and going to your Settings. Select Content Settings, and select the A to Z sorting option.

Delete a station on Xbox One

To delete a Pandora station from your Xbox, start playing the station you'd like to delete.

Then press the menu button on your Xbox controller, and select Delete station.

Explicit Content filtering on Xbox One

Explicit Content filtering is on by default for in-home products like game systems, since they are frequently used in family settings.

To view or edit your explicit filter within Pandora on the Xbox One:

  1. Open Pandora and select Settings.
  2. Select Content Settings and look for the explicit filter (if you're a Premium subscriber it will be above the AutoPlay setting).

Sign out of Pandora on Xbox One

To sign out of the current Pandora account on your Xbox One:

  1. Open Pandora and go to your Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select Sign Out.
  3. When it asks if you are sure, select Yes.

Xbox One troubleshooting

First, if you haven't already, make sure your internet connection is working properly:

  1. Try connecting directly via an Ethernet cable rather than using Wi-Fi (if you have this option), and see if it works better.
  2. Try rebooting your modem and router and restarting the device.

If that doesn't help, let's try uninstalling and reinstalling the Pandora app. Note: you'll need to be signed into your Xbox Live account.

  1. Go to My games & apps from the home screen and highlight Pandora from the list of apps.
  2. Press the menu button on your controller.
  3. Select Uninstall.
  4. Choose Uninstall all to confirm that you want to uninstall the app.

Then, reinstall the app:

  1. From Xbox's Home, go to Store and either select Browse apps > Popular music apps or search for Pandora to download the app.
  2. When the download is complete, you can find Pandora again in the My games & apps section.
