Amazon / Alexa Devices

You can set Pandora to be your default music and podcast service. Follow the steps below to do that on an:

iOS mobile device:

1. Make sure you have the Amazon Alexa app installed on your iOS device.
2. Change both your default Music, Stations and Podcasts service to Pandora.

Android mobile device:

1. Make sure you have the Amazon Alexa app installed on your Android device.
2. Change both your default Music, Stations and Podcasts service to Pandora.

You can also set Pandora to be the default service on Alexa using the Pandora app.

Apple HomePod

You can select Pandora to be your default music and podcast service on Apple HomePod.

For those running iOS 15 or higher, open the Pandora app on your iOS or iPadOS device:

1. Go to Profile and then to Settings.
2. Tap on Connect with HomePod.
3. Change Default Service to Pandora and you're all set.  

If you're using iOS 14, follow the steps below on your iOS or iPadOS device:

1. Open the Home app.
2. Select the home icon at the top left of the screen. 
3. Tap Home Settings.
4. Next tap your iCloud avatar to view personal settings. 
5. Select Preferred Service and then Pandora.

Comcast X1/Flex

If you connect Pandora to your Comcast account, you'll be able to use the microphone on your remote to open Pandora or search for music.

Cox Contour Devices

Pandora features are available on Contour devices, though Contour 2 devices have additional Pandora Premium and voice control features.

Google Nest / Google Home Devices

Set Pandora to be your default music service on your Google Home device using the Google Home app:

1. First, make sure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Google Home.
2. Open the Google Home app.
3. Tap Home, then Settings.
4. Under Google Assistant services, tap Music.
5. Select Pandora to set as your default music provider.

Roku Devices

If you connect Pandora to your Roku, listeners with voice-capable Roku devices will be able to use the remote's microphone to open Pandora or to search for your music.

Siri + Pandora

If your iOS mobile device is updated to iOS 13, you can use Siri to control your Pandora as it streams over AirPlay to a HomePod or via Bluetooth to another in-home device.

If your device is running a version older than iOS 13 you can set up Siri Shortcuts on your mobile device and use voice commands to control playback once connected to Airplay.

To create Siri shortcuts from the Pandora app:

1. Start from your Profile.
2. Tap the Settings gear in the top right corner.
3. Choose Siri Shortcuts.
4. Then pick one of your Recently Played items† to record a custom voice command.

Sonos Devices

Set Pandora as your default music service for Sonos Voice Control when using Pandora on your Sonos devices. If you've already completed the steps to set up Sonos Voice Control:

 

1. Open the Sonos app on your iOS or Android. 
2. From Settings, select Services & Voice.
3. Then from under Voice, tap Sonos Voice Control and Default Service.
4. Choose Pandora from that list.
