Overview of Pandora AMP

Pandora AMP is a suite of products and programs that connects artists and fans. AMP is designed to support artists of every size at every point in the campaign cycle. The Insights and Marketing Tools enable an artist to know their fans, market to their fans, and engage their fans. To get started, log in to your Pandora account at amp.pandora.com.

Setting up an AMP Account

Our goal is to get you access to Pandora AMP as soon as possible. Getting access to your AMP account depends on the number of verification requests in our queue at the time your artist claim is submitted and whether we need additional documentation to process your request. Generally, the verification process should take no longer than a couple of days; however, we may require additional documentation in addition to already submitted forms, which may add to our processing time.

Featured Tracks

Featured Tracks accelerate discovery and feedback from listeners for your new priority tracks and expedites the path to their natural peak rotation on Pandora. 

Featured Tracks receive heightened spins for up to eight weeks, during which time listeners can give their feedback to the track by thumbing up or down. This ensures the track is played to the right listeners on stations where it fits best for them. 

When a Featured Track is created, it automatically launches a Campaign. A single Campaign can include multiple Featured Tracks and/or Artist Audio Messages to support new music or live events. Campaigns including multiple elements uniquely engage fans with your content. They also provide insightful data to help shape effective marketing strategies.

Please note, you can only feature tracks that were added to Pandora within the last 365 days, are receiving at least 10 spins a week on Pandora radio stations, and have not been previously featured.

Artist Audio Messages

Audio Messaging allows you to create short messages that play on Pandora when listeners launch your station or before/after any of your songs on any station. These messages are a great way for you to engage your fans with specific content and promotions and provide them with an intimate window into your music. In some cases, the audio messages you create can be shared to your social media profiles to broaden their reach and pull even more fans into a listening experience on Pandora.

Audio messages can serve a number of purposes along the spectrum of promotional to personal. Promotional messages encourage fans to check out new music, buy tickets, or participate in another type of transaction. Personal messages improve the listener experience, increase engagement, and create a moment of connection.

AMPcast

AMPcast allows short audio messages to be recorded on the fly and broadcast near-instantly to your fans as they interact with your music on Pandora and follow your social profiles. You can use AMPcast to alert fans of new songs, exclusive ticket offers, live events, or simply as a unique platform to share photos and personal messages.

If your music is spinning on Pandora, you are able to access AMPcast. Make sure you have claimed your AMP profile at amp.pandora.com/claim then download the latest Pandora app from the iOS App Store. Log in using the same email and password you use to log into AMP, and you should see your artist name in the menu of the app. Tap on your artist name to begin using AMPcast.

Curator Tools

The Curator Tools of Pandora AMP can be used to curate Playlists and Curated Stations comprised of music and comedy tracks from Pandora’s extensive catalog. Curators can further customize Programs with their own commentary, or that of a collaborator, by uploading Voice Tracks sequenced within the Program.

These curated stations and playlists will then be showcased on the creator’s profile in Pandora and will be discoverable by Pandora listeners.

Musicians, record labels, DJs, songwriters, journalists, writers, actors, chefs, influencers and more can request these tools to playlists, stations, and Stories.

Creator Data

The Catalog Tab on an artist’s profile in AMP hosts the most comprehensive insight into content performance on Pandora.

On this page, you can see total Streams, Radio Spins, Interactive Plays, Station Adds, and Thumbs Up for each track right on the Catalog tab, where they’ve previously been going to see all the tracks they’ve delivered to Pandora.

You can click a track to dive into a reporting page dedicated to that track, featuring a line graph for daily trends as well as a “source breakdown” section that shows which programs a track is being streamed on. All metrics are available with custom date ranges as well. Together, these features offer a series of improvements on the way Pandora data has been presented in Next Big Sound, and ultimately eliminates the need for users to navigate to a separate platform for reporting.

Customize your Creator Profile

Pandora AMP allows you to update your Creator Profile in a number of ways to best represent yourself as a Creator on Pandora.

With Pandora AMP, you can showcase Music and Podcasts With Spotlight Picks, customize your artist bio, and beautify your artist profile with a custom profile and cover photo easily from your AMP dashboard.

Pandora Charts

The Pandora Charts website hosts all three of our Pandora charts: Top Thumb Hundred, Trendsetters, and Top Spins.

These charts are updated weekly and can be viewed on pandoracharts.com. Users can subscribe via the site, and have any or all sent directly as individual weekly emails.

Each chart provides unique, valuable and timely insight into an artist’s performances on Pandora, including listener feedback and spin data. We also highlight emerging artists, tracking their weekly breakthrough progress.
