What are skips?

Skips allow you to move past a song you don't want to listen to and onto the next song in your station.

A skip is also triggered if you Thumb Down a song. However, skipping a song is not the same as giving a Thumb Down.

• By skipping a song, you will only move to the next song in the playlist. It will not remove the song from your station altogether.
• By giving a Thumb Down to a song, you not only will skip the song, but also prevent that particular song from appearing on that station again.
• By choosing "I’m Tired of this Track," you temporarily retire the song from showing up on that station. It will return to your station after some time. Please keep in mind that this functionality is only available from mobile devices for free listeners and Pandora Plus subscribers. It is available to all subscription levels on our website, however.

How do I skip a song?

All Pandora listeners receive skips. Pandora listeners who use our ad-supported radio service get a limited amount of skips per day; however, if one of those listeners hits the skip limit, then they may be given the option to unlock more skips by engaging with an advertisement.

Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium listeners receive unlimited skips on most devices, with the exception of a portion of our collection that are not eligible to be skipped given certain licensing restrictions.

What are replays?

Replays are available to all listeners on computers and mobile devices. Replays allow listeners to play back songs from their session history. The Replay button is located to the far left of the thumbs and skip controls.

Ad-supported listeners will be prompted to watch a video ad when they tap the replay button. Once the ad is complete the track selected will replay. Most songs from their session history can be played back until the replay reward is used up.

Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium subscribers have replays included with their subscription. Tap the Replay button to playback eligible songs from the session history.

Note: Due to licensing restrictions, some songs in our catalogue are not replay-eligible.
