To exit the Pandora app on your Android device, you will need to be in the tab view (the screen with the tabs labeled Station List, Feed, Profile, and Settings). 

From the ‘Now Playing’ screen, press the back arrow to return to the tab view, then click on the Menu icon in the upper right and select Quit. 

This will close the app completely, so it isn’t running in the background.
