Pandora on Chromecast
Setting up and playing Pandora through Chromecast
To play your Pandora stations through Chromecast, first make sure that you have set up your Chromecast device properly by connecting it to a power source, connecting it to the proper input on your TV, and setting it up using the Chromecast App.
If you are using Pandora on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you will need to be running version 5.0.1 of the Pandora app. If you are running Pandora on an Android, you will need version 5.0.
There is currently no Chromecast integration for the web version of Pandora at www.pandora.com.

You should also make sure your mobile device is connected to the same wifi network as Chromecast.
On an iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android phone:
Go to the "Now Playing" screen. Drag the three parallel lines at the bottom of the screen upwards to reveal the volume bar. Then tap on the Chromecast icon to the right of the volume bar, and your Pandora station should load on your TV screen.
On an iPad:
Tap the speaker icon at the top of the screen to reveal the volume bar and the Chromecast icon will appear to the right of it. Tap on the Chromecast icon to the right of the volume bar, and your Pandora station should load on your TV screen.
On an Android Tablet:
You will see the Chromecast icon near the top right corner, to the right of the volume bar.
You will still control Pandora from your mobile device while casting to Chromecast.
Locate and tap the Chromecast icon again if you want to disconnect Pandora from Chromecast.
If the Chromecast icon is not showing up next to the volume bar in Pandora, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- -Check to see if there are any updates available for your Pandora app and update if needed.
- -Make sure your mobile device is connected to the same wifi network as your Chromecast device.
- -Unplug your Chromecast device from it's power source and plug it back in to restart it.
- -Try restarting the Pandora app on your device.
If you are using an Android: From the ‘Now Playing’ screen, press the back arrow to return to the tab view, then click on the Menu icon in the upper right and select Quit. Then, open Pandora again.
If you are using an iPhone: From the home screen, double click the home button to show backgrounding programs. Hold the Pandora icon until it wiggles and then click the red "x" in the corner the shut down Pandora. Go back to the home screen and open Pandora again.
Run the Chromecast App to set your Chromecast device up again.
