Install

You can find the Windows 10 Pandora app in the Windows Store on your device. Search for Pandora in the upper right corner and click or tap Free to install.

Downloading any app from the Windows Store will require that you have a Microsoft account and password. The email address and password for your Microsoft account may be different than those on your Pandora account.

Create Station

To create a new station, first launch the Pandora application.

Typically, it will take you to the last station you were listening to. Click or tap the "X" in the top-left corner of the screen.

Then, select "Create a Station" in the upper right corner of the screen. You can type the name of an Artist or Track in the text-box, and the search should auto-complete.

From there, select the name of the Artist or Track you want.

Also from the initial search screen, you can view and select our curated genre stations in-app. Instead of typing out an artist or song in the search box, click or tap on the "Browse" option that appears underneath it.

View Lyrics

If lyrics for the currently playing track are available on Pandora, you can view them by scrolling down from the Now Playing screen, or clicking or tapping the down caret under the album art.

Initially, you will only be able to see a little snippet of the lyrics on this screen, but you can click or tap on the “Show More” to reveal it all.

If you don't see lyrics there, we don't have lyrics available for that track.

Edit Stations and Thumbs

If the thumb you want to delete occurred during your current listening session, all you need to do is un-thumb it.

From the Now Playing screen, click or tap the album art of the previous tracks until you see the track you're looking for. Then, click or tap the highlighted Thumb icon.

If this happened in a previous session, you'll need to visit the station's details from your computer browser at www.pandora.com to make that change.

Here's how to edit Thumbs in that station's details from the web:

  1. Select My Profile.
  2. Select Stations from the list on the left.
  3. Click on the name of a station to bring up the Station Details page.
To remove a seed or thumb rating, click on the X listed to the right of that artist or track.

To add seeds, select the Add button.

You can also edit your stations from the homepage by hovering your cursor over the name of the station you'd like to edit, clicking the black arrow next to the station name, then selecting Station Details.

Explicit Filter

You can restrict Pandora from playing songs or displaying ads with explicit content from the Settings section in the app.

  1. Click or tap the three lines in the upper left corner.
  2. Go to Settings > Content Settings.

From there, you can change the "Explicit Content" option to "off" to filter explicit content out (select "on" if you wish to allow explicit content).

You will be prompted to input your current password to save this setting.

Enabling this filter will limit Pandora to playing music that could play on daytime broadcast radio. Note that this can only be applied to the entire account and NOT specific stations. Once set, this will restrict explicit content for that account on all devices, as well.
